You pay only a low subscription fee plus actual usage. There are no extra telephone lines or other expensive equipment to buy, install, staff, or maintain. The standard subscription fee is based on a maximum number of lists (30) and responders (1000). Custom subscriptions are available with higher maximums. Every level offers all the same services and capabilities.
In addition, per minute charges apply for any actual usage that include all long distance charges.
